VOCATIONAL TRAINING
DESCRIPTION
Vocational training offered through our workshop provides support to individuals that enable them to develop appropriate vocational skills and work habits within the sheltered employment setting. Such supports and guidance allow the individual to enjoy the therapeutic value of work as well as the status associated with earning a paycheck. The workshop experience can be a useful transition for individuals either transferring from other programs or graduating from school, but not yet ready to work in the community. Our vocational supports may eventually lead to integrated employment opportunities in the community.
Individuals may work full-or part-time and elect to spend the remainder of their program day in Day Habilitation or Day Lite activities or may work part-time while finishing school.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Individuals ages 16 and above, who have a documented developmental or other disability. Individuals should be interested in vocational services, either long-term or eventual supported employment.

- We can offer on a limited basis, capable, qualified consumers who will work for you.
- Our staff will assist in coaching.

What we look for:
Physical stamina, flexibility, patience, desire to work with people who have developmental disabilities.
